I have tried everything with my parents! I have written (and I know this sounds crazy but it's true) a 21 page essay on how to care for them and where to buy them etc. Also, I have said that I will pay for it ! Clean the cage my self! Pay for all the food and it's cage! AND I made a model of a hamster cage and a hamster in it from cocktail sticks! It took me a month! And finally, I made and 33 page power point on them as well! Because my dad works for oil and gas we keep moving every where so I can't get the pet of my dreams (a dog) so I had to compromise. We usually stay in one place for about three and a half years so I thought a hamster was the best option. And when we go on holiday my friend who's family breeds horses (so she never has a holiday) has offered to take care of it for me. I know she's the best because she's had hamsters before. So please can someone one help me?
Just tell them if you cant have a hamster than you want something else (like a snake), and maybe they will realize that a hamster would be a much better pet than a snake.

It could work ... you never know.
Try getting good grades or something productive than he will let you buy a hamster.
I feel sorry for you, I hope you get one, just act sad until they give in, lol I remeber doing stuff liek that until i got my pet. lol
if you have cats i would not sugest getting one but why not try saying you will pay for it they are expensive i paid ￡ 70 for the stuff
Im afraid u have done all that i could think of, and things i never even thought of.
But what about a cat? I have one. They are amazing, 'they are boring!' Nope. I can throw her toy mouse in the air she wil jump up and catch it! I even taught her tricks!
And the best part is some breeds are great travelers! I was watching cats 101 (sorry i forget the breed name) and this cat lived in a truck with her owner, because the owner was a trucker and delivered boxes all over the country.
What i did was, my friend had a hamster, and i offered to baby sit him for a week. My mom and dad hated hamsters, but after the babysitting, my mom fell in love with them and convinced my dad.

Have you tried bargaining with them ....? Also, try to find out why they dont want a hamster. If its the moving thing, a hamster would be fine in a car with ac for eight hours. (Done it) Also, if its the cleaness factor, hamsters can be littler trained to pee in one place, and they dont shed. If you clean their cages often enough, they dont stink either. What you can do is write up a list of everything you need and the cost, show them that you have that much money, and offer to take responsibility for it (ie, offer to bargain, ill wash dishes if i can have hamster) worked for me!
