Is your guinea pig cage inside or outside?

  Whats better and why?
My guinea pigs are inside, Hoshi is in the kitchen and Miya and Suzzi are in the living room.Guinea pigs must have an environment where the temperature is from 65 to 80F, which is what it is like in your home. Guinea pigs will suffer a heat stroke quickly with heats above 80F and will get an URI with cold and drafts so this really puts being out side out for them, st least safely. The other thing is predators, even in the house you have to keep an close eye on them .. Just yesterday this women came over with a large puppy that kept attacking my guinea pigs cages, it only wanted t play with them, however, it weighed 80 lbs so it would have killed them quickly . Outside you just cant protect their hutch.
hi i have a rabbit (its close enough to a guine pig), and i have an indoor cage. i find it alot easier to feed and clean her cage for it being indoors. but the only problem it that she digs in her litter box and it flicks the litter around and sometimes even onto the floor, if you dont change her litter frequently a bad aroma hangs around. i used to keep her out doors but it was annoying because i would have to go in and out in and out to make sure she was ok and had enough food and she was warm enough.:) go with what you think is best, and good luck!
INSIDE!!! Guinea pigs are really vulnerable animals. Even when they are inside you want to ry to cool them down a little on hot summr days or find some way to keep them warm in the winter. They shouldn't even be brought outside in the first place! Keep them inside, they dn't have to be in your room, my sister's guinea pigs are in our hallway but sometimes we put them in her room.:)

Guinea pigs are highly susceptible to illnesses such as upper respiratory infections, even flies can lay eggs on their bottoms and the maggots can kill them

Also can suffer from heat strokes or freezing to death.

In the summer, they can get fleas or ticks ... don't let the poor piggy suffer; keep them indoors
Obviously, don't keep Your piggie outside for summer nor winter. Nor fall or spring. They're very sensitive, and the wind and chill or the heat could affect them badly.

Just keep the cage somewhere in your house. Like your living room or kitchen. Or even better, a seperate room.:)
I say inside because they are in your family, i have a hutch in my bedroom. I cuddle them and let them run around my bedroom (As long at they cant get stuck on anything or behind) Its easier to clean out. They have a better chance of surviving. They get to know you. Food and water is much easier to give!
Indoors. It is better for them to be in an even temperature and out of draughts. It also means you can check they are well more easily as you can see them every time you go in and out of their room, whereas outdoors they could get wet, cold and neglected.
Mine are indoor, but are going in the shed soon. there hutch is massive and it's next to another massive hutch that i keep the rabbit in. it takes up all the space so i have to take them both out. I also have the rats cage ontop of the hutch, so 3 big cages take up nearly the whole room lol.
Inside, Guinea pigs can die of heat stroke in 15 min, I learned the hard way and plus the right kind of shedding and no odor! and it can get eaten by cats or a dog or a raccoon out side lol
Inside.
