I have a hamster and see bites me inside the cage, but not o

Not only does she bite me she has been scratching a lot lately, like her whole upper body from her waist to her face is like bald from where she has been scratching. Right now i turned my 10 gallon fish tank in to her cage, im going to go buy her an actual hamster cage soon, i thinks thats the problem with the biting, but im not sure. In her cage i have a wheel, a crab house i had for my hermit crab that died a few years ago, food & water bowl, and the bedding i use is Softwood bedding (all natural wood shavings for all small animals), could it be that. I bought her, the wheel, food & water bowl, and the bedding from petco. Please help me !!!!!!!!!!
You should get her a new cage as soon as possible. Try the CritterTrail ones that have tubes, since hamsters love to roam and you will need the tube holes to connect new cages if necessary. She might be scratching because it is too hot in there. If you need a temporary cage, you can use a gigantic storage bin. They work fine, just make sure your hamster cannot climb out. Wood shavings can sometimes be harmful to small animals, and can cause bad smells. If your shavings were made from pine or cedar, that would not be good for your hamster! These oils are toxic to them! You could also take the cap out of her aquarium or buy her a special cage topper to connect it to a hamster cage. She is most likely not biting you out of the cage because she is content to be outside her cage. Hope this helps!
she prob doesn't like the fish bowl because there's hardly any air getting to her and feels stuffy and want to get out! Buy a proper one asap
Get a new cage asap!!! thats probably most of the problem. She won't be getting enough ventilation in there. Until you get the new cage keep her out of the tank as much as possible. Try to get a cage tonight if you can. Even if you want to get a cage tomorrow you should use an upside down laundry basket instead of the fish tank. It could be the bedding but i doubt it. Unless your shavings are pine, aspen, or cedar (which they should never be) you should be fine. Try using carefresh ultra. Its great!!! If she really is bald from the waist up, shes gunna need some type of cream to help her until she gets her fur back. I don't mean to be rude, but why didn't you do your rsearch and get a proper cage before you bought her?? I hope she gets better. Good luck!!
