i sometimes let my guinea pig loose in the garden to eat my grass but today i picked up one and put him in the garden, then i went back to get the other one but i saw the first one run away through a hedge. i dont know what to do.
Follow it would be my suggestion.
Ours never moved more than 50 feet. Just go through the hedge and look for your pet.
My guess is he is burrowed some where in the hedge, they can hide in the smallest little spots, Just get down on your hands and knees and go along the hedge on your side and if you do not find him go to the back side and do the same thing.Unlike cats and dogs guinea pigs do not take off running, they stay quite near where they started.
My guinea pigs have done that sooo many times. xD My front garden isn't fully fenced off, so they have found ways to sneak out through gaps.
Guinea pigs, unlike dogs, aren't exactly capable of getting far. At least, I have never had trouble recovering my guinea pigs shortly after they have run away. Then again, I was always there at the time and could chase them.

If he went through a hedge, I am guessing he is still in the garden? Unless that somehow let him get to the surrounding gardens/streets? He couldn't have gone far, it is really a case of hunting him down. Good luck , don't panic, he will show up!=)
Well, I don't know if this works, but close off any fences in your area, and post people places you cant close off. I found my dog like this. Usually, your guinea pig wont run too fast. Make sure you have food, for bribes, and put a bowl of food in the center of the garden. Your guinea pig probably wont wander far, since it wasn't really trying to run away.
Stay in the garden for a while. Keep a look out. Call some friends to come over and help, two sets of eyes, or five sets of eyes are better then one. comit yourself to stay out for a couple hours. he could turn up. If you are getting bored/restless and thinking of giving up then go inside to a window and look over the garden ocasionaly you might see him returniung and he might just turn up.
i know how it feels my hamster ran away (luckily not in the back garden) if its hungry hopefully it will come back for now dont let the other onwe out TELL NEIGHBOURS ASK THEM TO LOOK OUT FOR IT if they have cats ask them not to let them out go looking for it set camera's?? hope you find it:) <3
Place the other in it's cage and place it in the garden then perhaps the lost pig will return to it's 'buddy' but don't count on it. That lost pig is most likely gone forever, sorry.
o no! dont lose hope put the other gp back in its cage and search all through the hedge and the areas nearby. get all of your family out there looking, and dont give up goood luck tell us if u find him!
Get the other one back in his cage. Get any and all family members out there looking for him. He probably didn't go to far! Hope you find him !
put the second one back and follow the first and look through the hedge
He's gone: (maybe ask neighbors to put cats in their houses!: (im sorry
