Can I have two Golden hamsters in the same cage?

Like in the petstore they ARe toghether ... but i still have my doubts.Oh, and same sex hamsters!

Thank you!
Golden/Syrian hamsters are kept together in the pet store mainly for two reasons: to save space and because they are still young.

When hamsters age, they will want their own space. Occasionally, but very rarely, siblings from the same litter will be able to live together, but you must be careful as they can spontaneously decide that they do not like the other and will fight to the death. Separate them as soon as possible. If you're worried about them being lonely, you can still put them in separate cages, but put their cages next to each other so they can still see each other every day. Syrian hamsters don 't mind being alone. They are not pack animals. They are solitary animals and do not like to share.

Have fun with your hamsters!
They are still considered babies right now but they'll become adults soon and they will fight to kill. So its best to seperate them now before they realize they dont like sharing. Thats why occasionally at the petstore you'll see a hamster alone in a cage, its because it has gotten too old to be with a group.
Hamsters are solitary, and they cannot be kept with other hamsters after 8-10 weeks of age. They may viciously fight which may result in either serious injury or death.I recommend you house them in seperate cages or return one to the store. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Hope I helped! Good luck:)
You can only have the hamster together for a short time because they are very territorial. When they hit adults they will start to fight and try to kill each other off.

I would recommend to keep them in separate cages.
No, they will fight, and they can fight to the death. Pet stores can keep young ones together, but as they get older they will certainly fight. Hamsters are solitary creatures and prefer their own company.
sure.
what breed?
