Ferrets are great pets, but demanding ones. For all their loving antics, they are expensive and prone to certain diseases. Be sure you're 100 percent committed before you jump in. Also, there are many great ferrets in shelters dying (literally) for loving homes.

Ferrets are amazing pets. I had mine for 4 years (he passed away this year, I miss him so much) You love them like a family dog. They're very expensive though. And a good bag of ferret food is about $ 20, a regular bag lasted me about a month. Only get one if you have a lot of time to spend with him/her. They need at least 2 hours of play a day, preferably more then that.
I don't know where to get one where you live but some pet stores sell them. You could also look at an animal shelter or on kijiji or craigslist.
Ferrets are really great pets. I had two ferrets a few years back . Unfortunately they both passed away. If you go to a local pet store, they might not have them available right away, but you could probably put in an order and get them within a few days.:]
