1 week old guinea pig?

  hi,

so i went to a bird place yesterday and got a bird but along the way we were talking to the owners about little critters. it turned out that they had a female guinea pig that had given birth and died it gave birth to two one died and when i was there she showed me the last living 1 week old and the critter freak i am she offered it to me to have.i have 3 piggies now four so i know quite a lot.im feeding it warm milk with half a piece of bread soaked in it and quarter teaspoon of Sugar on top.Its doing well and already chomping down on little bits of grass.its so cute!

but is there anything else i could feed it instead of the soggy bread that is still good for the one week old piggy. If you add instruction's i will most likely make u best comment.

btw remember its a Little 1 week old boy.

also names would be good
IS the milk Puppy or Kitten cause thats what would be better to use.

I didnt even think 1 week old guinea pigs should be having any kind of solids: \

I like the name Brady:)
Let guinea pigs start to eat solids as soon as they start to eat them. It means they are ready and they wouldn't eat it other wise. My Guinea Pig gave birth but they only suckled for about 2 weeks and then went onto solids and they are both fine so ... Just give little bit to start with and he should be ok.

I got a new female guinea pig last Monday, we called her Willow.

But i love the name Douglas.:]
