I really want a hamster for Christmas, but my mom hates rodents. Is there a way I could convince her to let me get one?
Awww. My mom was the same way when I was younger. Maybe take her to the petstore to see the hamsters. Or show her some cute videos on youtube. Or, best of all start asking her for a snake.
I'm in the same position as you, but I want a guinea pig. Here's what I ' m doing. I'm SUPER close to getting a little girl I just need to butter them up a little bit more.
1. Go to your local pet store and try to hold one. Be super happy. Ask them all of the questions that you have and so can your mom. They will tell you what cages to use, food and anything else. The lady there really made my mom like them a bit more because my mom hates rodents, too
2. Write a long essay of good facts about them and what you'd need to keep one as a pet. Fill it with facts
3. Write a contract saying that you will take care of it and you know it's a huge responsibility but you can handle it because you are responsible and will pay for every thing that a hamster would need

4. Take on extra chores around the house to show how you are responsible.

Also, never, ever, NEVER beg. If she says no, keep trying. Find more facts. Like how different breeds of hamsters act different. If you need any more help, just tell me.

PS: Hamsters are living creatures just like you and me so make sure that you are ready for this! Remember that they are nocturnal, so they might be loud at night.
Tell her all things you will do to get one.
Say it will help build character.
Say you need a friend who will always be there.
Say your lonly.
Say you will do better in school, And try alot harder.
Say she can keep half your alowance.
Tell her how much you need him. How much you want that hamster.
Seem sad if she says no, But act machure. If you wail and cry, She will know your not readdy to have a live pet.

Remind her of when she had one. How when you were sad you looked at him and felt not so alone.
Be 10 times more machure. Keep your room clean. Get all 'A's'. Show her your readdy for one ..
