Hamster questions I have for you to answer?

  Just wondering ..

Why don't hamster eyes have a white part like we do? I have a few guesses but I'm not sure.

Is the black part their pupil?

Why is it that when I let my hamster out of her cage, she runs back in? She's used to the surroundings .. this only happens sometimes though. It's just that I keep thinking she'd rather run in the wheel than out of it ? But then other times, she'll run all over the house and to every room. XD I guess it will be kind of hard to answer this question .. Maybe its just the way she feels at the time like people.

I had other questions .. but I forgot them .. I'll put them later.

Thanks guys!: D
I'm not sure why their sclera isn't white, or even if it is technically a sclera. They mgiht not even have one.

The black part is, indeed, the pupil.

How she acts depends lot on her personality and energy level. She might just be having a 'bad day!' Your hamster sounds quirky and lively-have fun with her!
Theres no actual "giant pupil". While your sitting down with your hamster one day hold him up to sunlight and look at his eyes. There white part is a dark brown. There pupil would be the same size as a humans if it were that small. You cannot see the different parts though because there both very similar colors. So they do have a white part. Except its not white, its brown.
