which one is the best cage for 2 syrian hamster? cage 1:wire cage cage 2:bin cage cage 3:aquarium

Well a wire cage might be a little too crowded for 2, unless you get a big one, but they tend to cost a lot. An aquarium is harder to clean. But its probably the best for them. Good luck with your hamsters! :)

You cannot house 2 syrain hamster together. They are territorial and will fight.

Get nothing smaller than a 20 gallon long.

Bin cages are easy to clean.

Tanks are good but they are harder to clean since they are heavy.

Wire cage will work if the hamster doesn not climb it. Hamster can get injured from climbing to the top of a cage and falling.

Syrian hamsters are extremely territorial and regardless of sex or relation, once they reach sexual maturity they will fight and at least one of the hamsters will be killed.
They must be housed separately.



Each cage has its ups and downs.
Wire cages give good ventilation and climbing space, but chewing on bars is annoying and they do not give very much space at all for your money. Bar spacing is also an issue.

Bin cages can give good ventilation providing you remove/modify the lid. The hamster will have lots of room and they are cheap. They arent the prettiest of things though

Aquariums again can give good ventilation if you get a screen lid or a tank topper. The hamster cannot chew bars or escape easily and you can see him. They are more expensive than bin cages but will most likely give more space for money than wire cages.

i wouldnt do the aquarium because hamsters like that like to climb and a cage like that has no bars so i would go with the one that has bars so it can climb and have fun. i know this because i have had those kid of hamsters for years and they all climbed their bared cages
