Will nail polish ON the hamster affect anything?
I took a piece of paper and put pink nail polish all over the paper. Then I took my hamster and put her onto the paper (with the nail polish on it), and let her crawl around the nail polish, thinking it would turn out cool. When I picked her up when the art work was finished, her belly near her uterus and her paws were all pink. I put her back in her cage. Suddenly, she started to squeak loudly and rub her face with her paws. WHAT HAPPENED???
She saw your face.
Um... the fumes from the nail polish are probably bothering her. Very bad idea you had here. Her nose is much more sensitive then yours, to the point that the fumes are probably causing her pain.

You need to get the polish off of her immediately. Even if you have to cut her hair to remove it, you need to do it. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Chemicals that are harmless to us can KILL small animals like hamsters. I think you need to be made aware of this. :/
That wasn't a very smart idea. I agree with the person above me. Hamsters have a very sensitive nose, so the fumes probably are bothering her. And the chemicals in the nail polish can irritate her. Wash it off immediately! When she started rubbing her face, she was probably in some sort of pain or irritation. Don't try this again. Wash it off with warm water, or like the person above me said, cut it off if you have to. The squeaking is part of the pain or irritation also.
