Should I get a hamster ball for my hamster or not?
My female (dwarf) hamster Cotton loves to run around in her wheel. She can run and run and run during the night. I always take her out whenever she's at the cage door.
She willingly climbs onto my hand. When I put her back in she usually turns around because she wants to be outside of her cage more, but I just can't keep playing with her all day!
So I was thinking of getting a hamster ball for her, so that she won't be trapped in her cage when I don't have time for her. The cage is big enough, but just doesn't seem 100% satisfied. Do hamsters really like hamster balls?
(I just noticed I wrote a lot of unnecessary information. Sorry!)
answer: I have chinchillas as well as cats, and an Olde English Bulldog. When I let the chins run It's easier to put the chinchillas in large "roaming balls" than keeping the cats and dog in a room; Scratching the door and meowing/barking non-stop. Plus, like what was said earlier, it's safer, they're easier to catch when it's time to be put back in their cage, and no worries about them hiding under furniture
Lol half the people here don't know what they are talking about. xD pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
So anyway, they should sell really small ones, maybe 4 or 5 inches in diameter. These are best for dwarf hamsters. My hamster Ginger loves running in the ball. For some reason he always ends up at the stove lol.

Yes get her a hamster ball. I had one for mine years ago and he loved it. The ball allows them to get their exercise while being safe from harm. Plus you will never have to worry about losing her when she's out and about.
get her a hamster ball its really cute when you watch the hamsters running around in the ball and plus when they run around the room they cant go under the chair or any thing so you cant find them.

i would say yes get a hamster ball. all animals love to run around in as much space as they can and explore more than just the 4 sides of their cage lets face it even prisoners get let out of their cells. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
i have a snake and dwarf rabbits. they both enjoy getting out of their enclosures and it can be really good for animals not just the exercise bit but mental health also.
just do make sure that if you are letting her out in the hamster ball everyone in the house knows as last thing you need is someone to kick or stand on the ball which could cause enough shock and stress to kill the animal.
