Hamsters that live indoors do not hibernate.
Hey.
Hamsters don't hibernate usually in captivity but they can go into something called "torpor", it is a kind of hibernation but is caused by a very sudden drop in temperature which the hamster can't handle, so with no preparation/extra food intake the hamster goes into a kind of emergency hibernation called torpor.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com You are doing the right thing by warming her up again, but make sure you do it as slow as possible so the hamster doesn't go into shock. Hold her in your hands gently, and make sure your room is kept warm enough.=)
Hamsters dont hibernate. Take the towel off and move her away from the heater. You need to keep the room warm but having her near the heater will burn her, they are very sensitive. Putting a towel over the cage will restrict airflow and may suffocate her. They were just too cold, keep them in a warm room.
I don't know, mine is dying right now and it was doing what yours were doing except its laying on its side now breathing hard . If they are in the same cage, maybe one got sick and got the other one sick is your house under 60 degrees?
Don't make it too warm and cook her.
Hamsters are nicturnal. They rest by day and are active at night.
