I have 2 dwarf hamsters. When I got them I had planned for them to be together, but they started fighting after about half a week. I didn't have another cage on hand that would work for a dwarf hamster so I found the biggest plastic bin in our house which happens to be 20X13.5 inches. Is this big enough for 1 dwarf hamster? Also the other cage I have (an aquarium) is 24X13 is this size okay for the other hamster?
yes that is rather large for a dwarf hamster in fact. Your hamster will be happy. Make sure it is high enough so they cannot climb out or jump from the toys and escape. Don't forget exercise options! Hope this helps!
Both of those sizes are ok. But be careful because hamster could easily chew their way out of that plastic container. Make sure they have a water bottle, food, a house maybe (it can be wooden or plastic, doesn't matter), maybe a toilet paper tube to run through, a wheel, and something for them to chew on. I have a robo hamster and I give her these pretzel treats that she loves! They are like $ 3 at wal mart for a box that lasts pretty long. I also got her some blocks but she doesn't really chew on those too much. The treats help keep her teeth down really good though. Hope I helped!=)
Yes it should be ok, just make sure you add toys in the cage like wheels etc.
