Is it okay to have a guinea pig playpen? ?
Well my dad won't let me keep the guinea pig in a c&c cage because we have a dog who is very good at opening my bedroom door and is very territorial! So if I kept my guinea pig in there twenty four seven my dog just might get in my room and try to have her for lunch! I know what a bad dog right!? Well anyway I have a store bought cage that she is in now. The only way my dad will let me use the c&c cage is if I am in the room watching her and the door is closed. But he said if I leave the room or when I go to practice and bed to put her back in her store bought cage! Is that okay? Because I give her lots of floortime! But I just want her to be happy and I am gone a lot so she would be in her store bought cage more than in the c& c cage. Will she be happy?! Please help me to find weather she will be happy or not
answer:
That is actually a really good idea, and I definately think she will be happy!! It is great that you give her lots of floor time, and it sounds like you really love her. It is also great that you are considering to get her a C&C cage for her to spend a bit of time in, because they are great. When you get the C&C cage, you might even end up finding a way to make a really secure lid for it. You never know?

That is great that you have a C&C cage, but why don't you try putting a lid on the cage? Lock your door or buy a door with a lock and a key? Use a master lock thing to keep the door closed? Put something heavy behind the door? pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

If she is in her C&C cage at night then that would be fine also.

To make a lid just put extra grids on the top. To make a door, attach one of the grids with cable ties on top so it can swing open. When you want the door to be closed, tie it closed with wire ties. Or you can use wire shelving that is easily removed.

She won't be mad at you for putting her in the smaller cage but she will just be a lot happier in the C&C.
