like i said my female guinea pig died so i decided not to get a rat.......SO I GOT A MALE GUINEA PIG INSTED yay is there anything i need to know i never had a boy befor his name is chester and i think he is like 4 months old..

Males pigs are pretty much the same as females except they need to have their anal sac cleaned out on a monthly basis. If you go to the internet and research this it will show you the proper procedure in order to avoid anal impaction and a very sick piggie. It's not the most pleasant smelling thing to do but it is very easy to do and could save your piggies life. All you'll need is a q-tip and a bit of olive oil. Hope this helps.

He should be the same, but more territorial than the females. It's not good to put him with another pig or any other small pets because if it's a girl, he'll rape them..if it's another boy they'll end up fighting.

Boy guinea pigs are usually more social and friendly.. But be wary of putting 2 males together as they will fight!!! Also, male guinea pigs have a stronger odor once they become sexually mature.

Boy guinea pigs are pretty much the same.But hay or bedding can get stuck on his .....So check that area every once an awhile.Also don't put him in with a girl or he'll be a daddy.
