Question about hamster bin cage?
My Syrian hamster, Tamara is out grown her cage. She 's only 2 months old but last few days I noticed she stopped running in her wheel anymore.Just now she sit in her wheel again but her back is bended in awkward way and it seems very hard for her to move.this is her cage http://www.amazon.com/Brand-Rodent-Gerbi ...

I searched other ebay and amazon products and local pet store most of them have Crittertail, Habitrail Ovo and Super Pet cages which look fantastic and colourful but I doubt my hamster would be happy living in such tiny space. Then I found this homemade bin cage http://hamsterhideout.com/forum/index.ph ...

With simple rubbermaid storage bin it looks spacious and big enough for hamster to run and play.Since I don't have dogs or cats running around the house do you think I could just take off the lid for ventilation? What else can you personalized or decorate the bin with beside tubes/tunnels/wooden toys? If you have bin cage for hamster please share with me thanks!

answer:
The cage she is in now looks really tiny, no wonder she has grown out of it.

i don't like bin cages as they don't provide many air holes, which means they have poor circulation in air and it's not good for them .. These are some cages i think that you should concider for you hamster as they are proper ideal hamster cages ...

I agree with the first answerer, it looks tiny does the pink cage. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

I wouldn't make a homemade bin cage, I would use a proper cage so you know their safe.

I have most of the hamster cages that the first answerer posted too, and they are really great, so I suggest you get one of them.

Good luck!: D
