Salt lick informstion for hamsters?
Just wanna know information about those things, i got one its flavor is crunchy carrot.
-what do they do?
-what does the hamster do?
-how do i know when they r finished?

salt is a mineral that most small animals don't get so if you provide a salt block 4 them then the hamster might be healthier.(and happier).

Honestly they are mainly to get your hamster to drink more water (because salt makes you thirsty)... They also do provide minerals. They provide salt and it's mineral components. The hamster will lick it. It's finished when the hamster licks it all away OR if it gets too dirty to use anymore.... Basically it will last forever because hamsters don't use them THAT much.
