Is this ALFALFA HAY or TIMOTHY HAY? (Pics included)?
This is from petstock. Is it alfalfa hay or timothy hay? I am concerned for my guinea pigs.

Bedding would most likely be straw, by looking at it is most definitely not a good quality of hay at all, i hope you were not thinking of using it for food.To shop for a good cheap hay go to my You Tube site and view A Good Buy, I show you how to buy enough good hay to last a guinea pig for months for only around $ 4.00.

I'm not very good at matching pictures haha, but if it is similar to this ...

Then it is Timothy Hay, if it is not then it is straw, Alfalfa looks different. Straw is better for the bedding anyways as they don't eat it as much, Timothy hay should just go in the hay rack on the side of their cage, or in a clump at the bottom of the cage:) pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

hope i helped:)

To be honest it looks more like straw .. but im not 100% sure.

I would say it looks more like timothy hay, if i had too.

You could look on the bag, or ask at the place where you bought it.

But if it is straw, you shouldnt use it as it can scratch the piggies eyes.

Thanks for answering my question, hope i helped.?
