Changing a gliders diet?!?

Changing a gliders diet?!?
I just bought a sugar glider and his previous owner fed him very sugary foods like Cheetos and cinnamon toast crunch. I already have one glider and i don't feed him foods like that so how do I change this new ones diet? I gave him the BML diet last night and he didn't eat anything! So it worries me that if I don't feed him what he is used to, then he won't eat and starve. Oh and the new glider is 2 years old.

Wow - his diet previously was AWFUL.
Good idea changing his diet.

The fact that he didn't eat anything last night is NOT a big deal. Keep in mind - he is new to you, so that's an adjustment that he has to make (and a stress that he needs to deal with right now). Then there is the fact that he's being fed new foods - another stress. But don't worry, he will come around.

Keep in mind too that this new glider needs to be quarantined from your other glider, and given a vet check to ensure that he's healthy.

ETA: Hannah's idea is actually pretty good. Cheerios will not hurt him (though they should be fed in EXTREME moderation, if at all). Take a cheerio or two, and smash it up in the BML. BURY it in the BML. That might get him to eat it. I had to do that with a yogurt drop with one of my gliders on night 3 of a diet change, just because she wasn't eating anything. That was only done for ONE night though.

put like half of one Cheetos and bury it in his food why he is digging for it he might eat some also you could smash it in your hand and stir it around so he will eat it

hope this helps
