Yes, of course he will. Just make sure to handle him loads and give him treats (occasionaly).

If he's new, he might just be checking things out or might be a bit scared.

Well, guinea pigs don't show affection like cats and dogs may, but that doesn't mean they don't love. If you care for your guinea pig properly, they will notice that-trust me !!:) I have 2! They know that your the one that gives them food, so they get all excited when you walk in the room!!:) It is so adorable. It's actually quite heart warming to experience! I wish you and your guinea pig's relationship well!!:)

It all depends on if you spend time with it or not. If you never play with it, or if you always doing something else instead of giving it treats and stuff, It probably not even care when your present. But if you play with it alot, and talk to it and feed it treats, It'll be happy that you actually pay attention to it. And when your around it it will automatically want to play with you!

Why do you have just one guinea pig? Guinea pigs should never live alone as they get very lonely and depressed. You need to get your guinea pig a friend of the same sex. Once you do she will be happier and be able to socialise. To get your guinea pig to love you first get her a friend. You need to pick her up everyday for some special snuggle time. Speak in a very gentle voice and stroke her softly. She will soon get used to you and enjoy this special time together.

My friend has a guinea pig and whenever he walks into the room they start making a squeaky noise. I think they're happy to see him.

Yes if you feed it well and play with him once in a while it will recognise you and certainly love you as you are nice to him=)
