What do i do because my hamster is to scared of me?
i have a syrian and i love her to bits but shes too scared of me she won't let me handle her because she keeps trying to bite me
answer: You have to tame her.
First start by just putting her in an enclosure of some sort, a playpen. Then put your hand down on the floor flat, and just let her sniff it and investigate. She may walk onto your hand, but dont pick her up yet. When she is comfortable around a hand, go to the door of her cage and hold a treat , and she will come up, investigate, and take the treat. Do this until she is comfortable with that. (Not too much in one day though)
Now you can try picking her up. Put your hand down on the bottom of her cage, and see if she walks over it. If she does not walk onto your hand then gently cup her in both your hands and lift her out, and hold her over a surface.
Voila ! Tame!
Good luck!
They are territorial, my hamster does this too. Try putting an exercise ball in the cage and see if she will climb into it. Then just take the ball out and play with her. Hamsters usually don't bite outside of their cage. Only if they are frightened or feel threatened. Hope this helps: D

awwwww poor you!!!! Just hang around your hamster for a while every day and give her food (make sure you do it) clean her cage and then she'll be accustomed to seeing you every day. Stroke her gently and be LOVING. you'll see changes.
