so ive finally realised that my old rat has a small abcess near his groin area. i didnt want to leave it so i drained it. lots of greenish pus came out. im pretty sure i got all of the pus out. well when i checked it this morning it looks like it has closed up. should i still clean it

yes, it won't hurt to clean it abit until it completly heals over. when skin is broken bacteria can cause skin infections.
