I just discovered this! haha. anyway, I was wondering if you any of your guinea pigs chirp and make happy noises when you say their name or start talking to them. Also, why do they do this?

thats a sign of affection.i have a guinea pig who does the same thing.in the motnig i call her and she shoots out of her igloo.ill ask her do you want timothy hay and whre did mommy put it, she goes right too the spot that she ses me get the hay from! i find this amazing for a critter with a brain thats the size of a pea.she squeals when paper is rattled.theyr pretty smart.

Awwww that's so adorable! That makes me want one, i didn't think they were that affectionate.

my guinea pig does. they do this because they finally know you well enough that is so cute they love you
