Is my rat dying!?!? Please help ASAP!!?
Okay so this morning around 11:00 I went to her cage ( I do have another rat) to see her sleeping outside of the hut. I then picked her up and she did not move, That really freaked me out and I took her out of the cage and she wasn't moving. She is breathing but her eyes have ALOT of the blood like stuff in her eyes. She normally has some of it in her eyes but she has ALOT. I have been giving her about .75 to 1.0 ml's of water every half an hour. She only moves to like chatter her teeth move her head slightly and scratch herself. Every now and then she will slither forwards. I know it's not the fod because I don't buy the pet store crap. I give them fresh veggies and some meat and some sort of grains and fruits every night. Her lip is really lose like it looks like it stretched :s...
I gto her on March 14 2009 from Petland (I know I know!) And they said that the rats were about 10-12 months old. The other rat of mine is totally fine. The one that's sick is a some what hefty rat. She is usually any were from just under a pound to a pound. My other rat doesn't eat much and the sick one eats quite a bit. There is still food in their bowl from last night. I don't think the sick one ate.

Whats going on?
I cannot take her to the vet as the only vet is in the next town and I am only 13.
I might have to get my mother to take her to the vet Tomorrow if I can convince her how bad she is.

Thanks sooo much!

PS she is breathing but she's not eating. =(
She most likely has a respritory infection common to rats caused by mycoplasa bacteria. If she is not moving then it is not a good sign. I am so sorry, but it does not sound good. Try to keep her warm and comfy and hopfully she will make it until you can get her to the vet tomorrow.

If the other one has any symptoms like orange-red disharge or sneezing you need to get it to the vet asap for antibiotics. It is a symptom of a serious illness even if they are not showing any other breathing troubles.

The red stuff in sinus discharge, not blood.
dont try to force it open maby you should sepaert them one time i had a rat who did that to can she walk my couldnt so dont try to pichh her up or anything just pether and if she had blood in her eye you should have not got her
