What type of Guinea Pig is this? (Pic included)?
Hello, about 2 weeks ago my finace's Guinea pig had 3 babies. The mom is an Abyssinian Guinea pig and so is the father.

One of the babies is obviously an Abyssinian and he has many rossettes throughout his fur. I have 2 Abyssinian pigs so I know what an Abyssinian looks like.

The other two babies fur looks like they have had a perm. They are curly and its starting to get really fluffly along with curly.. So my question is what kind of guinea pig are they? I have a picture of the female I'm going to keep:

Thank you so much for any answers!!(:

I think it's a Teddy guinea pig. I've never seen a guinea pig with this coat before. Its beginning to amaze me. I really have a strong feeling it's a Teddy. It's such a cutie, you are so lucky.

:))
i am pretty sure your guinea pig is a close relative to this rare breed.. (all info name, origin included in link) Hope this helped :) http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii201…
This is called a teddy because the abysinian has rosettes in rowns down the back of the guinea pig.
How adorable! That looks like it might be a Texel.

But I think it's too soon to tell. The Texel's hair will grow very long and curly. They are high maintenance because you have to brush them and clean their coats often so that they don't get dirty and tangled.

They could also be a cross with Teddy guinea pigs. Maybe the grandparents were.

Thats a Rossette. I'm 99.9% sure because the coat looks just like my guinea pig, same fur pattern, just different color.
