My mouse had a prolapsed rectum, and it's dried!! What can I do to get it back inside?!?
He was biting it and tore it a bit too, but its a tiny bit outa his body, and it dried up, and I need to get it back in! I'll be taking him to the vet tomorrow, but he needs to last the night!! What can I do?! 10 points to the one who helps me save his life!!
answer: I could only find one link offering any suggestions for what you might do until you get to the vet. It is as follows:
http://forum.thefunmouse.com/viewtopic.p…The older your mouse is, the better the chance for beating this is what I read a lot. I also read if the p.r. is caused by pinworms, antibiotics may resolve the problem. The pinworms multiply and amass, and it causes weight in that area. That in turn causes the p.r. due to the pressure
I am sorry I do not have anything else to offer at this time. Hold your little one as much as you can. Let him know you are there. It will be comforting to you both. I truly hope you get a happy outcome. I hate when any animal is ill or injured. (Just for the record, I answered out of concern for your little one. Typically I steer clear of questions mentioning points.)
don't do anything but take him to a vet, NOW! take him to a animal emergency center or try to get it sooner with another vet, but don't do anything it may hurt him more
I'm sorry but there's nothing you can do. All you can do is wait. But don't touch the reectum.
Take it too a vet NOW ...like RIGHT NOW get out the yellow pages and find a 24/ hour vet hospital and call them and tell them what happend...or call an emergency animal hospital
