i would like one that likes to be held alot
Leopard geckos, crested geckos, African fat tailed geckos, bearded dragons, and corn snakes are all very good starter reptiles.
I am a reptile and amphibian breeder and have dealt with almost every species and the one that enjoys being held and will be held for hours on end is a bearded dragon. although snakes can be held they do not like it and can only be held for 30 mins.
PS although leopard geckos can be held they don't enjoy it.
I would either start with a Bearded dragon or a Corn snake. Both like to be held, but the corn snake MAY get nippy. Every snake is different. Dragons rarely bite, unless they were never held as babies. The most they do is just run away haha. Dragon are a bit more expensive though. They need bigger tanks, and alot more exensive lighting. but each is really cool to have. I have had both. My corn escaped from me while my friend was watching her. I now have a Mexicna Black Kingsnake, and he is pretty similar to a corn, but I hear they are a little more agressive. I have had no problems though. I would reccommend a bearded dragon to any animal lover. They are the most "normal and fun" of any reptile, and LOVE to be held.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com Just please make sure to learn as much as you can before getting any animal.
If you want one you can hold alot get a Bearded Dragon, but other ones that are GREAT beginning reptiles are: Green Anoles, Leopard Geckos, and African -Fat Tiled Geckos (But these shouldn't be held that often.)
Crested Geckos, and Corn Snakes .... they were my first reptiles. They are both easy to care for! Best of luck, reptiles are awesome :-)
corn snakes, bearded dragons, leopard gecko, kingsnakes, milksnakes. all good choices and snakes can be held just as much as lizards can.
get a ball phyton. that's is the one that worked out for me. they Reilly cool virtually maintenance free
