corn snake barley grew?

my blood red corn snake is at least 6 months old and it looks like she barley grew whats with that?
It's a shame you didn't give us any information to go on. As has been stated, it really depends on what you are feeding and importantly on whether this is being absorbed by the body and utilised correctly by providing correct temperatures. You would be feeding either one pinkie twice a week or two pinkies twice a week, then on to 1 fuzzie twice a week. I would expect any one of these feeding regimes at that age. What are you keeping it in and how are you providing the heat. We always recommend keeping hatchlings inside a tub inside the wooden vivarium that it will later occupy. The heating would be in the form of a heat bulb controlled by a thermostat. I can't say what temperature to run the thermostat at because it depends on where you have the sensor, but you would be aiming for about 78 at the coldest end of the viv, to about 95 -100 under the basking light. With a hatchling tub, I would place it in an area where the coldest end of the tub sits where the temperature would be about 82 with the rest of the tub towards the warmer end, so even in a hatchling tub you have a nice little heat gradient. I would expect a hatchling that is eating well to shed about once a month, that would be an indicator for you. Good luck.
The rate the snake grows and how big it grows totally depend upon the way he is eating or you are feeding, in the first year corn snakes can go from 7-8 grams to 150 +, but that all depends on how he is eating and how often you offer him food, you should be offering at least ounce a week by now giving fuzzies or two pinkies a week, Your feeding almost 100% dictates the size, and at very least; rate of growth. But a healthy snake grows fast. But at 6months he should be anywhere from 18 " - 23 ". But all snakes are different some will grow in constant spurts some will grown slower but in the end become larger. But good luck with your corn snake!
Yes, the food mainly influences growth. What and how often are you feeding? Are your temperatures and humidity correct? The best way to tell if your snake is growing is to buy a digital scale (like a food scale) and weigh it periodically. Slow steady growth is better than trying to force growth to occur too quickly. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
