I just got a chinese water dragon.is its care ok?
its in the 18x18x18 zoo-med terrium.
got jungle bed flooring
the light fisture i have is the 18 inch hood with a 100 watt day/basking and a 5.0 13 watt UVB
humidity is about 72%now

he is with-in 6 inch of the uvb
he is withing 3 or 4 of the day bulb
Well first you need to think about the age. I used to have a Chinese Water Dragon, so I understand what you're going through. the cages actually need to be very very large. Male adult water dragons can get up to three feet in length, and females up to two feet in length. The cage we had for ours was six feet long, four and a half feet high, and three feet wide. Big cages. Chinese Water Dragons have been known to enjoy Hibiscus, Ficus, Pothos, and Dracena plants as well. Humidity should be kept around 80%, so you've been doing pretty good with that. They need a good sized water-bowl, one that can submerge at least half of the reptile's height. Also, they love climbing branches and basking in the light. You've been doing pretty well as far as the care has gone. :) Keep it up!
