My crested gecko has been on the bottom of its cage all day. Is it okay?
I just got my first crested gecko yesterday afternoon. The guy at the store said they like to be at the highest place possible at all times. This morning I took him out and held him for a while. After i put him in his cage, he just walked to the bottom of his cage and has been there ever since. He has moved some but not much. Is he okay?

crested geckos are nocturnal cause my leopard gecko does the same thing and at night he is moving all over the place
He is probably just about to shed his skin try leaving him alone don't take him out to hold him for a day or to and just check up on him a couple times a day and see if you can see any signs of shedding also crested geckos have to be kept at a temperature of 70-85 degrees F so he might just be cold try putting a lamp over his cage and see if that changes anything also you can get warming rocks to put in his cage at Pet.Co Also they are nocturnal and spend the daytime hiding in crevices. So check up on him later in the night! -good luck

He is probably going to shed. When they shed, the skin covers their sticky toes and they can't climb. Just leave him alone for the day and he should shed!
