Hermit crabs vs crested gecko vs leopard gecko PLEASE HELP!!!!!?
Hello I have hermit crabs but I am not sure if they are really working out with my lifestyle. Mine barely move and if they are not better in a few weeks I will probably send them off to a more loving home and get my self a reptile. I have been really wanting a crested gecko but I am not sure if they are the best choice. I have read that leopards are great for beginners but that they can be mean. I think I would much rather have a crested but I am not sure. This whole process is confusing because I have heard good and bad things about both. I'm not sure if I should just keep my hermies or if it would be more exciting to get a reptile. Here are my questions if you answer all of them comepletly I will give you the best answer!!!
1. Should I keep the hermies or trade out for a reptile? pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
2.What is more exciting, a crested, leo, or hermie?
3.What is more fun to play with and hold, a leo or crested?
4. What costs less overall, a leo or crested?
5. Which is less mean, a leo or crested?
6. Which is overall better to have, a hermie, leo, or crested?
7. What size aquarium does a leo need?
8.What size aquarium does a crested need?
9. What is the needed temp and humidity for cresteds?
10. Needed temp and humidity for leo?
11. What all do you need for a leo?
12. What all do you need for a crested?
Thanks and please answer soon!!!!
1.Up to you.
2. Depends
3. Reptiles don't really play. They will sit and chill but thats about it. Both are jumpy as babies but calm as adults. I like leopard geckos as they cannot climb walls and escape.
4.Crested. They require no heat as long as your house is 75-80F and no lighting. They also eat a powdered food which costs less then live.
5.Neither are mean. Both are very friendly normally which is why they make great starter reptiles.

6.Better to have? No reptile is better compared to another. It just depends on the owner.
7. Minimum is 20 long (30in X12in X12in)
8. 20 tall
9.75-80F on the warmer side and 70-75 on the cooler (if you can). Temps over 80F will stress them and over 85 can kill them. Moderate to high humidity.
10. 88-90F on the warm side, 75-80F on the cooler side. The only humidity needed in the tank is the humid hide.
11. Tank, lid, under tank heater, substrate (No loose, No sand, no humidity producing), food and water bowls, decor, 3+ hides, calcium powder with D3 and without D3, crickets, cricket food and water, place to put crickets, moss, books and a vet.
12.Tank, lid, under tank heater (for cold nights), substrate, food and water bowls, branches to climb, places to hide, CGD, crickets, cricket food and water, calcium powder, moss, book and vet.

I have 3 leopard geckos
Research
1: trade them out you would have fun with a reptile instead.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

2: i have both crested and leos . they are both interesting geckos, crested love to jump around around during the night and leos like to explore there cages during the night (they are both nocturnal)
3:a leo (for me) is much more better to hold because like to sit on your hands or explore there surroundings.
4: you can spend 100 dollars overall for everything with leos. and i think a little less for crested geckos.
5: each gecko has there on personality, you take good care of your leo and crested and treat it right , they both wont bite you at all unless its feeding time then they both will bite you becasue they might think your food.
6:i like both you can setup there tanks to look real nice and it gives your space a great positive vibe.
7: a leo needs a 20 gal long tank to live comfortably. you can put 2 leos in a 20 gal tank to.
8: a 20 gal high tank can be house ONE adult crested its whole life
9: temps for cresties is 75-80F day time and 72-69F night time, if your house doesnt get super cold then you dont need any heating supplies for your cresties, it can live in room temperature but if it gets bellow 65 then you would need some heating elements. humidity would be 70-80%
