Does a bearded dragon make a good pet?

Does it get stressed when u hold it?
Generally bearded dragons make the best reptile pets (in my opinion). They are relatively easy to care for, possess a friendly demeanor, and are usually very robust health-wise.

It is really up to the keeper as to whether it gets stressed when holding it. You can start by simply petting it lightly a few times a day. Let it get used to you. It will learn you are a friend and not a threat. Take it out of the cage a couple times a day. Then increase that to one per day once it gets accustomed to be held. Be gentle and never grab, or handle it roughly. It can take a little time and some patience, but bearded dragons make excellent pets.
My daughter is twelve and as she's allergic to fur, we decided to get her a reptile. We asked many reptile specialists what the best reptile is for a pet and they all said a bearded dragon. When we got the bearded dragon, he was sitting on our shoulders after a few days, and he loves being held! My four year old son holds him and as long as he gets a stroke, he doesn't mind at all! They are excellent pets and I really recommend them. But - they do require a lot of time, so don't get one if you can't give them the amount of time they need. Hope all goes well!
Generally they are very friendly, docile lizards and excellent pets however you do get the exceptions to the rule ... I have a very aggressive beardie, but his behaviour is not typical. They are among the best pet lizards.
