where can i buy a chameleon?

i live in iowa and want to buy one?
I don't live in the States but the best place you can buy any lizard would have to be a breeder. They're better cared for and they can offer you much more information about reptiles than a pet store. Try looking for a breeder that owns their own store though because it makes it a lot easier and you can then buy your food from them. There are also reptile expo's that tour around the country. Try finding one near you because they have a huge selection and you can buy reptiles from breeders while your there.

Good Luck Finding A Chameleon!!

Howdy Bobby,

Take a look at http://www.chameleonforums.com/forum.php and you'll not only find a "for sale" section but there is a list of sponsors who are also breeders. You'll also find plenty of info about chameleon keeping. Register there and ask lots of questions before you take the plunge into the chameleon keeping lifestyle :-) pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

They are tough to care for. I hope you have experience with other reptiles already. Find a breeder so they can help you if you have any questions and join your local reptile club.
Do you mean an actual chameleon, with rotating independent eye turrets and everything, or just an anole lizard that changes color from green to brown? The latter are available in a lot of pet stores.
