i found out its not a nile, but a way more aggresive one. it is the golden-glod tegus. it still bites, and have grown. idk how. its like the size aa kimberly rock monitor, btw i did lots of research, and it has bigger teeth now. idk what to do with it? should i tame it or give it away?
how did you confuse a nile monitor with a golden tegu??
Of course untamed reptiles will bite. They are not puppy dogs. They are really still wild animals at heart and need time to calm down. You CANNOT just get a large lizard (or any lizard for that matter) and expect it to give you love and cuddles.
Make sure you know what species you actually have and make sure you are giving it the proper diet and environment. If you cannot cope with an animal that bites then you should not have got the animal in the first place.
Where did you get this tegu and who told you it was a nile monitor? And, why did you want a nile monitor in the first place. They are the most defensive and aggressive monitor in the pet trade.
