I hear you need a UVA/UVB light, a red heat lamp, and a basking spot light? Is this right? Also do you leave all of them on during the day for 12 hours only, or the whole entire day and just turn them all off at like 7oclock or something? PLEASE HELP! Thanks !!!!!!! BTW it is a baby bearded dragon right now
You need a heat bulb. A regular light bulb (which is a uva) in a dome reflector is fine. Just measure the temps with a digital probe thermometer as babies need a 105F basking spot.
You need a UVB light. Use a Reptisun 10.0 tube light.
Both heat and UVB should be on for 10-12 hours a day. Use timers so they come on and off the same time every day.
There is a bulb called a Mercury Vapor bulb that gives off both heat and UVB lighting. These are expensive but excellent. Any UVB bulb needs to be changes twice a year as they lose potency.
No heat or light at night unless your house gets less than 65F. Beardies must have a cool dark nightime. If it gets too cold, use a ceramic heat emitter, no lights. Never leave white lights on at night.

NO white lights at night. I usually go to bed around 11, and my beardie is usually all snuggled up ready for bed to! I turn his light off at 11, and on when I wake up .
