My dog dug a bullfrog out of hibernation ...?

We have a pond in our backyard and their are some frogs that live in it but my Jack Russel decided it would be fun to dig up one of the hibernating frogs. So I need to know what to feed it ... if it needs food at all. We're assuming it won't go back into hibernation so we are keeping it in one of the tanks we had other pet frogs in and we just need to know what to feed it.

Thanks so much:)
Bullfrogs I know eat crickets and worms. They LOVE night crawlers and they are also the best nutritional substance for them. (Btw-you prob. Already know this but buy your insects from a pet store Petsmart Petco etc. if you cath them from the wild they could be carrying parasites. The frog might be too. Just FYI) Hope I helped!!
Is it at all active? Usually, hibernation is more than deep sleep, but more like a controlled coma-suspended animation. It sounds like it's responsive-however. If it needs food, virtually anything that's zoological is suitable for a bullfrog. Groups of bullfrogs-after transforming from tadpoles-are known to grow up living off nothing but each other . Unlike caterpillars-who do all their growing b/4 becoming butterflies & moths-bullfrogs have a lot of growing to do after they cease to be tadpoles. So if it does eat, (I'm NOT saying it will in its low metabolic state), practically any meat or animal it can swallow should be suitable. Frogs can take in a lot in proportion to their size.
If you're going to keep it, it will need minimal heat at least. If the frog is active and alert try offering store bought crickets, or night crawlers. If it shows no interest it might be too cold. Frogs need some heat to digest their food and won't eat if their temps aren't high enough.

It will need feeding as it can't hibernate at room temperatures in a house, so you will need to warm it up to summer temperatures.
Pet stores sell Frog pellets. You could try crickets, some even eat small animals like baby mice or lizards.
