Hi, I'm 13, I LOVE beardies, there's almost nothing I don't know about them. I'm completely commited, I have all the money I'll need. Yet my Dad still refuses to get me one. We used to have a leopard gecko but sadly she passed away a couple of years ago: (. So it's not like we havn't had experience with reptiles. Last night when I asked him about one. He said no because apparently my Stepmums cousin had one and they had to give it away because it turned aggressive or something. I'm not stupid when it comes to animals, they were obviously doing something wrong to harm it or scare it.
If somebody could write something about how great they really are so I can show it to him. I might have a chance.

I recently went throught the same situation, wanted one so badly and i knew absolutely everything about them (i got one now). Beardies are awesome to watch, it looks hepas cool when they are foraging around and i would almost call it a strut that they do. So tell ur dad that they are awesome. just like me. lol. But im sure u can make a deal. my parents said that if i got one i had to keep my room tidy lol: P good luck x
Bearded dragons are the bomb they are very affectionate and love being handled if they get used to it the only reason any dragon would get agressive is because of a number of reasons including: being handled wrong too hot vevariums. Please allow your son to buy a beardie they are so much fun. Mine sleeps right next to my bed in its tank and evverymorning to wake me up my Mum takes him out of his cage puts it under my bed and wrestles with my feet plz let him get one=]
Hi im 13 too and over ther past few weeks ive had to persuade my parents to get me fish. but its up to your parents.My mum and dad realised how much i wanted them and knew that i would look after them. By my knowledge of your animal i dont belive they are agressive.The person must of been treating it wrongly cause ive never know them to become agreesive.But just dont give up trying like i did and show your com-letely commited in keeping them and your dad should sway your way if he belives you.

I'm 14 and it took me about a year to convince my parents to get me a chinese water dragon. Beardies are the best starter reptile and NEVER BITE UNLESS ABUSED ....... ...... SEVERLY. they are hardy and amazing .. alot of my friends own beardies, we even have a reptile club we made upthe biggest thing for my mom was tht she thought ALL reptiles have saminella. I kept pushing it an pushing listing all the great things about them and showed them how much i knew. have ur dad read some books about them. plus even if they do become agressive the don't hurt. there bites feel like sandpaper, they are amazing lizards. THAT WILL NEVER BITE even when botherd TRUST ME ....... hve ur dad read all these anwsers
