Need help convincing my Dad to get a Bearded Dragon?

Hi, I'm 13, I LOVE beardies, there's almost nothing I don't know about them. I'm completely commited, I have all the money I'll need. Yet my Dad still refuses to get me one. We used to have a leopard gecko but sadly she passed away a couple of years ago: (. So it's not like we havn't had experience with reptiles. Last night when I asked him about one. He said no because apparently my Stepmums cousin had one and they had to give it away because it turned aggressive or something. I'm not stupid when it comes to animals, they were obviously doing something wrong to harm it or scare it.

If somebody could write something about how great they really are so I can show it to him. I might have a chance.

Please help and thankyou for reading!:)
Well beardies make awesome pets, and it sucks that your dad doesn't realise that. Tell him everything about them, all your knowledge, let him know that you will take care of it and will be paying for everything for it. If he realises he that you know everything that might help. Maybe go on youtube and find some beardie videos (preferably babies, they're too cute to say no lol) and show him how docile they are and fun to own. Maybe that'll help change his mind. Good Luck
give him reason on why you want to get one. Tell him you will pay for everything ... he doesnt have to pay a dime. Telll him you have experience. Also say that you will kepp him in his cage and if he gets agressive (which he won't) you will give him away. Tell him that you will do some extra things around the house. They are great reptiles , it will teach you responsibility and you will become a better person. I think your dad should let you have one.
there so easy! just say you know someone who has one, and there no trouble at all!
you know what helps me with my parents is to litarally tell them everything i know. like: what temp does the cage need to be, how big of a cage, what they eat and when they eat it, the humidity, and after a while they start to get interested and will start asking questions. if they have a question that you dont know then just say well thats an area i need a refresher on or i need to look that up thank you and when you do come back to them with the answer they will realize how much you want the lizard.
You need to go to reptilenetwork.com or show him a book as why they are so great. Reptiles magazine write a few articles a year on them, plus there are dozens of reputable books on their care. My biggest issue is that you had a leopard gecko that died a few years ago. They live for 20 + years in captivity, so your husbandry skills might be in question. Your father might see this as a deterrent . Bearded dragons are much less of a commitment than many other pets, but a commitment nonetheless. My mother didn't let me have a lot of things. It's called parenting and you'll get used to it.

As far as the aggression thing, beardies are wild animals. Humans can be aggressive, too. Along with cats, dogs, birds and fish.
