My bearded dragons heat light blew, and I only bought it recently. I had to get it from a reptile store on e-bay because my local Pets at Home only sells the screw-in heat bulbs, mine is a bayonet fitting. Anyway, that bulb was hot enough for him, but now he is down to a 60w bulb I save for him for emergencies. He has a heat mat as well but that doesn't bring the heat up. Is there anything I can do to make it warmer for him? His stress marks are showing now because he is cold, but he is still active. He's perched on the top of his cave looking around. Any tips to make him warmer?
Get another bulb. He'll be fine for now, but you should always keep the right back up bulb.
You can temporarily warm him up using your heating pad on the livingrom sofa. My beardie loves it as a treat. He also enjoys nice warm baths.
Good luck!
You can buy a ADAPTER to go in your light socket to take a screw in bulb
