What do I need for my new baby ball pythons cage?

I just bought it it bout a foot long what do I need for its cage?
Hello,

The first thing you need is an enclosure which has been specifically designed for ball pythons. This will allow you to put more effort into your snake, and less effort into trying to convert an tank/cage.

You will need substrate. There are a few that we recommend, such as cypress mulch, aspen or coconut husk chips.

you will need heat. an under tank heater, or UTH, is the best kind of heater. You will also need a thermostat to regulate the UTH.

you will need hide (s). Your snake will need places to hide, minimum 1 or possibly even 2.

you will need a water bowl. Even though a lot of people don't see their ball pythons drink, the truth is that they love (and need) fresh water. Keep the water bowl full at all times!

You will need food. You should be feeding your baby ball python small rats which are the same size as the thickest part of the snake. Feed every 7 days, unless it is going into shed. If it is going into shed, skip feeding and then start again 2 or 3 days after the shed is completed. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Goodluck!
I would advise getting a hide for it, a water dish large enough to soak in but not too deep, and a branch to climb on. A heat pad is a must, it goes on the bottom on the cage. Shreeded newspaper makes for a good substrate; but I use White Carefresh bedding.
