Is my RES turtle hibernating?

For a couple of weeks now my turtle has been sleeping in the corner of her tank a lot and hasn't been eating. Her water isn't cool enough for hibernation, but could she be hibernating anyway? Should I take her to the vet just in case or should I just let her be?
Temperature isn't the only trigger for brumation. There is also day-length. Are you keeping the basking light on for the same length of time as during the summer? As long as temperature and day length remain constant, the turtle should remain active. Chances are that a vet would not be of any help in this matter. If the turtle goes too long without eating, try slipping an earthworm or two into the water.
