I have 2 bearded dragons (male and female) and i think she is pregnant ... some signs are there ... she is flat and i can feel what feels like marbles in her belly ... although she is not digging the male is: S is this normal? i am a fairly new reptile owner and would like some advice please ... i understand all about taking the eggs out and incubating them if they are fertile although i have never done that ...
another thing ... will she like being handled as much as usual? and if so how do i handle her? im being very careful when i get her out.

she may not want to be handled as much. be careful picking her up and don't let her fall, she should be ok. marbles in the belly could mean eggs, or impaction. the eggs may be slightly visible through the belly skin when they are developed more, and she's closer to laying therm. pick up a copy of Reptiles Magazine to find ads for incubators. do searches online too. read up on egg care for the species.
If she is pregnant, she ins't going to start digging until she is ready to lay them. You should never house a male and female together unless you plan on breeding. You need to make sure the female is old enough and healthy enough. Do you know what to do with the eggs once they are laid? Did you know they can lay up to 25 eggs at one time? Are you prepared to feed 25 mouths and find the proper housing for them ?
