I have two leopard geckos and they dont eat mealworms that rnt moveing and my worms almost nvr move is there something u can do to make them really energetic i was thinkin bout stickin them in the micro wave for 10 sec to c wat that would do. Any ideas, tips or sources to tell me what to do anything is much appriciated
Putting a live creature in a microwave is never a good idea.
To answer your question: Hold a few mealworms in your hand and breathe warm air onto them. The reason they don't move much is because (I'm assuming) they are in the fridge and the cold slows down their systems to keep from molting which in turn makes their entire body slow down/not move.
Now aside from that, a better solution would be to feed your gecko crickets. They really are the best food for leopard geckos; they have all essential nutrients (of course you should be dusting as well) for them and are the most active. Mealworms are not a staple diet, they are mostly fat and contain almost no nutrients for the geckos.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com Go with crickets as a staple diet and supplement it with mealworms as a treat every now and then.
I thought living things exploded in microwaves ... you should feed crickets. They move more.
