I currently have a one month old bearded dragon that I believe is a female, I am going to a reptile expo mid December and was wondering if it would be ok to keep two beardies together? Perhaps a male and female for I wish to breed when they get older. If not just my female and another female? Space isn't really a factor I have many tanks at my disposal I just need to know if it could become a problem?
it would have been better to have gotten them at the same time if you wanted to house them together. Whichever one you had first will be more dominant, and probably a lot bigger. I have two in the same tank right now and they are about 6 months old. We supervise their eating , and the way they act very carefully. we dont the genders yet but we are completely prepared to have to seperate them if needed.
If you have many tanks then use them. Housing any reptile with another causes un needed stress. Most times with beardies one will grow and the other wont as the one that grows gets all the food and the best basking posts and such. You wouldnt wanna house a male and female together anyways till there adults as they will try to breed to early which can kill the female .... Fighting and bullying is another thing to worry about.
No, not a good idea. Fighting and dominance issues are way too common. If you are serious about breeding, then you'll learn that you need to wait until they are both mature and of correct size and weight before breeding, and that they are brought into breeding condition properly. An incubator needs to be available to hatch the eggs, and individual tanks with heat/UVB setups need to be provided for 20 or 30 babies that need to be fed and sold. Not something to get into lightly! This is a good care site:

I have a beardie too. He is a male and seems lonely. I was thinking of getting a female but perhaps it could not be a great idea. If one is a lot smaller than the other, don't think about it. They should be the same size or one might attack the other harshly. If you got the male, try placing the female and male together and watch them if they do anything bad.
beardies are like a pride of lions , you can have 1 male and several females together, providing you have enough space in the enclosure. You only run into problems if you have 2 males together. Young beardies will tail nip if they aren't given enough food, so that is the only big concern.
