I am getting a bearded dragon and I just want to run other a few last things.
1.I know they eat crickets everyday but what other bugs shall I offer him and how often?
2.Is there types of veg and salad I should stay away from?
Hi sweetie, I remember when I was like you getting my first bearded dragon and being scared to do anything wrong.
When you buy him/her it will most likely be a baby and if there is the choice of buying a baby or an adult buy a baby then you will have them for longer and you get the fun of watching them grow. A baby will be fine eating just crickets but is you want to start to give him a few small meals worms every over day once you have had him for a wile that's fine. But be careful not to feed wax-worms to him they are addictive and if you feed them to them to often they will become addicted and refuse to eat anything else but wax-worms so they often end up starving to death or if you do give in they can actually become so fat they cant walk so I would just try to avoid them if I were you I do.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com When your bearded dragon is older they can be fed a deferant bug every day of the week (if you want) some good ones to give them are large crickets, grasshoppers, meal-worms and really what ever your local store sells (just not wax -worms).
I give my bearded dragons Chopped carotts, spring greens, tomato, mint leaf, basil, coriander, sweetcorn, and pea pods. Don't give them all on the same day this is what mine have over the coarse of the week eg he they have tomato, carotts and sweetcorn one day and mint, pea pods and spring greens the next. This type of vegetable diet is perfect for both baby's and adults. The only vegetables you need to be car-full of are lettuces and spinach is fatal and so is ice berg leticuce
Hope this helps:) Have fun with your new pet:)
