My red eared sliders shell is very soft!!!!! what will happen to it?
it shell roit
It's likely going to develop sepsis and die if you don't do something very quickly.

Turle shells are an extension of their ribcage and are therefore made of live bone. when soft shell rot occurs it eats away at scutes, exposing the vulnerable bone underneath, leaving the turtle extremely vulnerable to bone infections, which can rapidly become systematic and fatal.

Do you provide your turtle with an area to bask under both warm light and UVB light, either artificial or natural? Does it receive calcium in it's diet? Both are extremely important to a turtle's health.

I recommend you remove your turtle from the water immediately, and place it in a warm, dry, inescapable container, and take it to the vet ASAP so that it can be treated. Otherwise, you run the very real risk of it developing a dangerous infection.

If you do nothing the turtle will die. Do you have UVB bulbs?
