What does it mean when turtles have white spots on them? Our water turtle is having white spots.?
It looks as if the out shell is drying up or something?
It's just shedding. The shell grows with them you know. It is attached to their flesh.

Do you live in the western half of the USA? Are the spots hard and crusty? If so, they can be cleaned off with an old toothbrush dipped in lemon juice or vinegar. Those spots would be hard-water deposits.
