What are some ways to beat my brother senseless?
Okay, so I'm brumating my Western Fence Lizards, and I've got it just right and everything. When suddenly, when I'm not there, my little brother decides it would be a good idea to turn the heat light on. FFUUUUUUU....I'm not sure how long it was on. It managed to get around 80 degrees....-.-. I quickly turned it off once I saw it, but my lizards were all basking and everything.

Joking aside in the title, will this hurt my lizards' brumation progress? How do I quickly cool it back down? I already have a little fan blowing into it.
answer:
You'll be fine. I brumate my snakes here in Texas and we can have some winter days in the 70's and then a few days later it will be in the 30's. It's never had any negative effects on them. A long period of warm temperatures can be bad because it will raise their metabolism and cause them to burn off body fat quicker, but fluctuations in the temperatures are fine. It happens in the wild as well.
Don't beat your brother senseless. It sounds as if he is senseless already.

Why are you brumating the lizards? Are you planning to breed them? That's the only good reason I can think of.
It shouldn't take too long for your lizard to cool down. They are desert animals anyway, so they should be ok at 80 degrees. Don't leave the fan too long, it might get too cold
No it will not hurt them.
