Honestly you should not be taking any chances with any tipe of lose substrates. lose substrates can cause blockage in your bearded dragons intestines. If this is not treated fast enough your bearded dragon will die either from internal injury or starvation because of loss of appetite. never use loose subtrate even if it says eddible on the packet. remember that your pets health comes before how attractive the enclosure looks. The best subtrates are astro turf, tiles, shelf liner or even newspaper. It depends what you prefer.

Not a good idea it doesn't take long for oats to mold and it will harbor bacteria like crazy plus when it gets wet it will be a huge mess.

Slate tile is also super cheap and never needs to be replaced. It will keep the nails trim and holds heat well. And when it comes time to clean you just take it out wash it off and put it back in. I got my tile at lowes for like $8 for 10 tiles.

Yes, you can use it, but keep in mind he might start eating them and his stomach might get bloated. Use Alfalfa Pellet Tortoise Bedding almost the same price and if they eat it, it wont cause as much harm and the smell is better when they deficate. in all honesty I do not think its a good idea, you have to think about whether it will mold easy, cleaning up the poop, that alone would make me not want to use it.

Go for something else, anything else will probably be better.
